There is no doubt that Rumi is one of the most popular and well-known mystics and Sufis of all time. His poetic and deeply spiritual words have touched the hearts of millions of people around the world.
Rumi was born in 1207 in what is now Afghanistan and he died in 1273 in Konya, Turkey. He was a highly educated man and spoke many languages, including Persian, Arabic and Greek. Rumi was also a great scholar of Islam.
